Gold Essentials Pricing, Stock Status, Production Process and Other Terms & conditions
Gold Essentials is our transparent solid gold jewelry collection. Every piece is priced with clear math so you can see how much of your purchase goes into the gold itself, and how much goes toward labor and production costs. Our goal is simple: make solid gold jewelry that is easy to understand, fairly priced, and honest about weight, gold value, labor, and production.
Our Gold Essentials Promise
Every Gold Essentials piece is priced so that labor and production costs stay at 40% or less of the final price. That means at least 60% of the final price is gold value.
If a piece cannot meet that standard, it does not belong in Gold Essentials.
We do not break this promise on in-stock items, backorders, made-to-order pieces, or custom-size orders. Sometimes new designs are discontinued at certain weights because we cannot maintain our promise at the lower weights. These are rare deals and after they are purchased, they will NOT be made available at that weight again.
Product Statuses
Each Gold Essentials product will show one of the following statuses:
In Stock:
If a product says In Stock, that exact finished piece is already made, weighed, priced, and ready to ship. Weight shown is the actual finished weight of that specific item. The gold value, labor cost, production cost, and final price are already calculated. When you buy an in-stock piece, you are buying that exact piece at that exact price. Because gold prices can change, in-stock pricing is only guaranteed while that exact item is available. If you want the listed piece at the listed price, order immediately to secure it.
Backorder:
If a product says Backorder, the design is available to order, but the exact item has not been made yet. The design will be the same, but the final finished weight may vary slightly because each piece is cast, finished, polished, and completed by hand. Backorder prices are based on an estimated target weight. Once the piece is completed, we weigh it and confirm the final price. Many customers may place backorders for the same design. We recommend placing your order instead of waiting for an item to come back in stock, especially during high-volume times.
Made to Order:
Made-to-order items are produced after your order is placed. The listing price is based on the estimated target weight, gold purity, current gold value used for that estimate, labor, and production costs. Once the piece is finished, we weigh it and confirm the final numbers before shipping.
Custom Size:
Custom-size items, such as rings, may vary in weight depending on the requested size. Because size affects the amount of gold used, custom-size orders are priced by estimate first. After the piece is completed, the final finished weight is confirmed and the final price is calculated.
How Estimated Pricing Works:
For backorders, made-to-order items, and custom-size orders, the listed price is an estimate based on the target weight of the design. The estimate includes:
Purity of gold
Estimated finished weight
Estimated pure gold content
Gold value
Labor cost
Production cost
Final estimated price
Gold share of price
Extra-cost share
The labor and production costs remain the same unless the customer requests a design change, engraving, expedited service, custom sizing, or another add-on service.
Final Weight Guarantee
We guarantee the estimated weight used for your order. If your finished piece weighs more than the estimated weight, you keep the extra gold at no additional charge. If your finished piece weighs less than the estimated weight, we refund or credit the difference based on the lower final gold weight. The labor and production costs remain the same because the same work, casting, finishing, polishing, and handling still went into producing the piece.
This keeps the process fair
If the piece finishes heavier, the customer benefits.
If the piece finishes lighter, the customer is protected.
The Gold Essentials pricing promise is still honored.
Final Price Confirmation
After a backorder, made-to-order, or custom-size piece is completed, we weigh the finished item and confirm the final gold content. If the piece finishes above the estimated weight, you keep the extra weight without an additional charge. If the piece finishes below the estimated weight, we refund or credit the difference before shipment. We will not use final weight adjustments to break the Gold Essentials promise. The labor and production cost share will remain 40% or less.
Why You Should Order Instead of Waiting
Many Gold Essentials designs can be ordered even when they are not currently in stock. Because gold prices and production availability can change, waiting for an item to come back in stock does not guarantee the same price. If the design you want is available for backorder, it is usually better to place the order and secure your spot in production. Backorders are produced in the order received unless an Expedite Service is added.
Discounts & Adjustments
When final weight adjustments are needed, they are handled fairly. If the finished piece weighs less than the estimated weight, we refund or credit the difference. If the finished piece weighs more than the estimated weight, no extra charge is added. Discounts may also be provided when appropriate, especially during production delays, high-volume periods, or special promotions.
Our promise remains the same: Gold Essentials pieces will stay within the 40% or less extra-cost rule.
